National Warrior League

Mission Statement
National Warrior League (NWL) has tasked its development group with the guiding principal that each piece of a kit they design be purpose driven. These tactical kits are backed by research, input, testing and evaluation (T&E) by subject matter experts (SME) and operational personnel at every opportunity, regardless of time or cost. The bottom line is that each tactical kit that we provide to operational personnel has a positive and tangible outcome during its use.

Overview
National Warrior League (NWL) as a company is populated by operational personnel, whom have either just retired or left the military or tactical law enforcement community. Our staff works diligently to keep its ties in their respective former communities to remain abreast of current needs and short falls of operational equipment. Furthermore, NWL focuses on continuing education within each staff member’s former field and efforts to expand into new curricula, research and training.

A fundamental and frequently problematic area of concern in the design and manufacturing of some of the markets current soft tactical kit is the copious use of superfluous options. Loosely translated, some equipment manufacturers have sacrificed efficacy for the perception of the same by loading packs and other load bearing equipment with unnecessary pockets, pouches, straps , webbing and plastic buckles. NWL relies heavily on SME guidance and active duty operational personnel for feedback on design and functionality. What we at NWL have learned over our time in service, whether military or law enforcement, is that form follows function. Too many times manufacturers will overload their gear and quantify their design concepts under the philosophy of, “ better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it”. The troublesome result is reflected in kit that functionally will not operate fluidly in the austere environments in which some of our nations most effective operational units work. Subsequently the design flaws leave those top tier units with kit they must jury-rig or simply work around the design deficiencies that sometimes hinder their operational efficacy. NWL combats this desire to overload its kit by working directly with current active duty operational personnel to insure that our kit performs with the greatest efficacy while still maintaining the low weight and material mass requirements that our tier 1 & 2 operation personnel in the military and tactical law enforcement expect in their equipment.

Today’s conflict areas and the tactics employed in this 4th Generation Warfare should force kit developers to rethink conceptually the needs and requirements of the assaulters and operational personnel. The concepts of higher speed and lower drag coefficients need to be translated into our kit just as it is trained into our tier 1 & 2 personnel. The technology surrounding weapons systems, theatre surveillance, intelligence gathering, combat vehicle systems and training of our personnel need to be addressed in the design of their kit that takes their essential gear to the fight. NWL kit hopes to address this gap in design and provide the outcomes based expectations that our tier 1 & 2 personnel look for in functionally effective soft tactical gear.

With the research and guidance of SME’s and active duty operational personnel, NWL builds and perfects our kit. NWL T&E provides us real world results, both failures and success, which we correct or build on. The final product is a design that is functionally operational and has the efficacy that our operators expect and can rely on when it matters most; during the heat of battle or when the life of a fellow operator hangs in the balance.
